The wedding show and Yorkshire Brides are the biggest bridal shows in the North and promise to be a good day out for all. So if you are planning on going along please stop by and say hello, look forward to meeting you all.

World First for Ryan Browne
Apologies for all those who are regular to my blog, checking out our latest weddings. It has been a while since I have had chance to post any weddings on here, they are on there way, having covered 40 weddings so far this year with the bulk of them being in the last 3 months I have been very busy.
Yesterday I found out that one of my images has gained a first place win in the Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalists quarterly contest. The Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association [AG]WPJA is a group of international wedding photojournalists, who capture unscripted wedding moments as they happen, and excel in the art of post-production image processing. The [AG]WPJA is a division within the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA); one which specifically promotes Fine Art Wedding Photojournalism.
This contest is only open to the worlds finest photographers of which there are quite a few. This is the first time I entered this contest of which I only submitted a few images due to how busy we are. So we are really pleased to have gained such a high placing on our first attempt. One of my other images also placed a good 14th in the ceremony section. The result meant that I finished 8th overall in the world, behind some great photographers. With this and holding the number one spot within the ranking system of the Wedding Photojournalists Association in England, we are delighted how the year has gone so far.

Amy and Stuart | Carlton Towers | 10|05|08
Back in May I covered 10 weddings one of which was the wedding of Amy and Stuart which was taking place at Carlton Towers in North Yorkshire, to date one of only a few weddings where we had sunshine. Please find below a few images from the day.

First post in a while, we have shot that many weddings so far this year that I have not had time to keep the blog up to date, so here is a bit of news that I received today. I have been invited into the ranks of the Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalists. This is an international association within the WPJA containing the finest wedding photographers from around the world. All at Ryan Browne Photography are extremely pleased to have been invited to join such a prestigious association.

WPJA Q1 Competition results
The Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) is a professional organization composed of photojournalists and wedding photographers from around the world. What sets our members apart in the industry is their candid, documentary approach – a distinctly artistic vision toward wedding photography.
Every 3 months the WPJA holds a world wide competition open to all members. All at Ryan Browne Photography are really pleased as we placed 3 images in the top twenty in the first round of this years competition. One of which placed 2nd which is a great achievement as there are some amazing wedding photojournalists around the world. The other images placed 10th and 19th respectively.

Jenny and Rob| Crab Manor and the Crab and Lobster, North Yorkshire | 04|05|08
Sunday the 4th of May I travelled up to Asenby for the wedding of Jennifer and Robert at The Crab Manor Hotel. The weather was worst I have seen this year and the rain looked like it was with us for the day, it was. Here are some images from the day.
